What I Learned in School

class

I’m making a list of lessons I’ve learned in college and university that will help me in my professional career.

Note: This list is extremely random… order has no bearing on importance.

  • Just learn! Something. ANYTHING!
  • Look for all possible uses for what you’ve learned.
  • Focus. So many times I’ve thought, “I need to learn that!” when I should’ve just focused my learning on specific things.
  • Plan and prepare carefully. Don’t just jump into things.
  • Don’t work with people if you really don’t trust them.
  • Really get to know clients during the courting process.
  • Unfortunately, how something is said is often more important than what is said.
  • Don’t do something just because everybody else thinks it’s cool. If it doesn’t make sense to you, just stay away.
  • Gravitate towards people with talent.

People need to be made more aware of the need to work at learning how to live because life is so quick and sometimes it goes away too quickly.
